My name is Robert Lie and I am a software developer, based in the Netherlands and have worked on mobile apps, backend and frontend applications.

In mid 2017 I have worked on a personal Ethereum Proof-of-Concept but I soon realised that Ethereum was not the correct platform for IOT projects.

After visiting the IOTA Dutch meetup in Oct 2017 I decided to do some additional research.

I concluded:

  1. IOTA is weird (tangle, ternary system).
  2. Not a lot of technical information available (it is now improved..).
  3. But above all I was intrigued! I believe that IOTA will become a standard protocol for IoT because of its scalability and no fees.

So my IOTA journey began. I have been reading available documentations, inspecting the source code, reading blogs, watching vlogs etc.

In my personal time I have been writing technical tutorials and have build more than 100 online web tools all of which you can find on my website (Mobilefish.com). I have been doing this for more than 10 years. Just recently I also began making YouTube videos.

As you may or may not noticed, there is not a lot of technical YouTube videos available explaining cryptocurrencies.

The reason are:

  1. A technical video takes more time to make and you will not have a lot of viewers.
  2. Most people are only interested in price speculation and not technical stuff.

Why am I making tutorials?

Well I am a nerd and because I am applying the Feynman Technique:

If you want to understand something well, try to explain it simply.

I have created 30+ YouTube IOTA tutorials with a total duration of 6+ hours.

Here is an interesting quote from Malcolm X which perfectly describes why education is important:

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy my videos.
